For example, we expect that by the end of 2013 more than 30 of our clients will have stores on the eBay Marketplaces platform, creating an additional distribution channel to help grow their businesses. Also by the end of this year, we expect PayPal coverage to extend to over 90 percent of our client volume. With great PayPal integrations, our clients are seeing increased conversion at checkout – another way eBay Enterprise helps retailers and brands grow.

A: It reflects eBay’s commitment to partnering with retailers and brands to help them compete and win. The name highlights the enormous synergies between eBay Inc.’s portfolio of businesses and the solutions we are uniquely able to provide. It’s the next stage in our evolution and allows us to bring more value to our clients. Our Product and Service delivery teams are more closely aligned and are working to integrate solutions for our clients.

Q. What does this mean for the brands and retailers that work with GSI?

A: GSI’s name change reflects eBay’s commitment to becoming the partner of choice for retailers and brands. For our clients, we will enhance our focus on bringing capabilities from across eBay Inc. to help them engage today’s connected consumer.
